Sea Shanty Singers
Barnacle Buoys is a non-profit group of a cappella sea shanty singers based in North Somerset. We exist to enjoy our craft, entertain our audiences and raise money for our chosen charities. Our principle charities are the Childrens Hospice South West and the RNLI.

Its “Lake and Pier Day” in Clevedon to celebrate our wonderful sea front facilities - we will be singing live at the lake - come and join us between 12.30 and 2pm.
Real Ale and Shanties? Surely not? What a combination. It worked brilliantly last year.
Its worth a try and its on all weekend. We will be there on the Saturday so come down to Park Street, Bristol for a great day of swill and song.

Its the end of the wonderfully well-organised Somerset and Exmoor Coast Festival and so there is plenty to celebrate. At 5pm there will an open-air shanty concert at Sparkhayes campsite, Porlock featuring the Barnacle Buoys (as a prelude to an illuminated light show and walk to Porlock Marsh shortly after 7pm). This is a ticketed performance and there will be a cash bar and wood fired pizza as well. Weather permitting.

The most brilliant Festivals of 2021 and 2022 are to be repeated in 2023. Great news for Bristol and for shanty festival followers and performers.

We had a great evening when we last sang here. The acoustics were just wonderful. So pleased that we have been asked back again. Looking forward to another night of shanties and sea songs.

A repeat of last years fabulous festival of the sea at the wonderfully atmospheric Porlock Weir. Huge mix of stalls and events including sea shanty performances from the Barnacle Buoys. The Buoys will entertaining the crowds from about 2pm until the festival closes.
Performances at 1pm and 3.15pm - great event, lots to do and see.
